Meet Our Team
The two of us met in high school and have been inseparable ever since. Gregory has over 25 years of soccer experience playing collegiate and professional soccer both in the states and overseas. The two of us love the game of soccer so much that The World Cup somehow made it into our wedding vows. We have two young children Emilia (4) and Ezra (1) whom were the inspiration in creating our own soccer “legacy.” After moving around the world over the past 10 years we decided in 2016 to make Los Angeles our home.

Coach Gregory
Gregory Efiom has over 25 years of soccer experience. He began his career at an academy similar to Legacy FC, and eventually worked his way up to playing competitively. As a soccer instructor during his teen years, he gained great satisfaction from helping children develop their skills while visibly having a great time. He continued to run youth camps throughout his college and professional career, which eventually led to him co-founding Legacy FC.
Gregory’s accolades include playing for the U20 Nigerian National Team, playing professionally in Darmstadt, Germany, and being an NCAA Division 1 four-year letter winner. Gregory is now retired from professional soccer and works at a tech startup in Culver City. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, and spending time with his wife, Ayanna, and two children Ezra age 1, and Emilia age 4.
Gregory credits soccer as the foremost factor in his ability to thrive professionally in non athletic environments. He was able to use it as a tool to learn important skills such as networking, time management, working as an individual in a team environment, and resilience. All of which have helped him transition from being a pro on the field, to a pro off the field
